My First Half-Marathon

Debbi and I before the race started
Starting the race
Running
Oh Yeah!
Crossing the finish line
My race stats. The altitude slowed me down because it was difficult to catch my breath and I was getting a stitch in my side. Somewhere around mile 9, my leg started to seriously cramp up and it was difficult to run. However, when I saw the finish line, I ran in the last 1/2 mile. I was ahead of Debbi for most of the race, but she passed me at mile 12 and finished two minutes ahead of me. My official chip time was 03:10:59. Not bad for my first race!

I bought a juicer

I bought a juicer - The Omega 8004.
I used my 20% coupon from Bed, Bath, & Beyond, so I got it at a very reasonable price.

My first batch of vegetable juice.
(Kale, Handful of Baby Carrots, 1 Red Delicious Apple, 1 Lime, Handful of Cilantro, Hint of Ginger)
I've been juicing for about two weeks now, and I can TOTALLY tell a difference.
My energy level is higher and I generally feel better.
The juicer was delivered in a giant box with another box in it, which my cat was really happy about.

The PT fixed me

I found out during the Blue Bell 10K, that I roll my foot in while I run. I ended up at the PT and he fixed my ankle and taped me back together. I feel a lot better. Then another massage and I'm walking like a normal person and very happy.

Running for Boston

The day after the Boston Marathon, runners around the USA wore race shirts in honor of the victims of the bombings.

Blue Bell 10K

Just Before the race started
I came around the corner and saw my friend, so I was happy :)
This is how I did. 6.39miles in 1:13:56
Post Race. They gave us ice cream. Best.Race.Ever.
We found some bluebonnets on the way home. Any Texan knows that when you see this many bluebonnets, you have to stop and take your pictures with them.

Halfway to the Half Marathon

My entire body hurts after this. Especially my ankles and knees. Also, I'm sunburned. It is a really awesome razor-back sunburn. I'm going to have some lovely tan lines.

CrossFit Games 13.5

I've never seen a video of any of my lifting (and I didn't even know that they video'd me) so it's interesting to see this movement because I can see my knees moving inward when I do the squat. I need to work on that.
